Burling Street Jazz and Swing

Burling Street Jazz and Swing has it's very early musical origins in live commercial performance. That was always considered a jumping off point for further music related study and educational proficiencies. A large and/or smaller jazz ensemble sound was always in the ear of the existing founding member, pianist, arranger/composer Mark Kubicki. A (live) large ensemble sound can be attributed to being a former member of a local Orange County, Ca Big Band (Moonlight Express) for many years. The smaller live sound was the generic rhythm section from the Big Band and select (live) studio Jazz Ensembles. When Burling Street first began it's road forward, one knew from that moment on, jazz recording and live jazz performance were the chosen path. And so it was with the initial private release of "Stop and Go", Burling Street Jazz and Swing finally came out to announce it's first CD project. That was roughly the year 2000. By around 2002-2004 U-Turn was produced and an initial private release was presented. Fast forward to 2022, a Holiday music project finally came to being in the studio in 2023. A beta version of Season's Sound was released with 6 tunes for the 2024  holiday season. In September 2025, BSJ&S issued Season's Sound Part 2. Another UPDATE: JIT for Christmas a BSJ&S project titled "The complete Season's Sound" will be released 10/29/2025. A project titled "Skyline" is almost done. Released a 3-song project titled Skyline (Demo) for 9/30/25. It's a peek at the music that's being prepared.
